For example, for a warehouse, the illumination ranges from 15 lux to 75 lux, but for factories, it has to range from 75 lux to 300 lux.

Different application sites have different choices for LED bay lights, which mainly depend on the illumination requirements of different places.

For example, when local lighting is needed, the LED high bay often needs to be equipped with a cover or reflector with a narrow luminous angle, so as to narrow the beam and focus on the illumination.

If a large area of illumination is needed, it needs to be with a bigger beam angle cover or reflectors onto high bay LED lights.

Generally, there are 3 different covers or reflectors working with high bay lights, each reflector decides a beam angle. 60/90/120°.

But for UFO high bay LED lights, it is decided by PC Lens without any reflectors, of course, for LED UFO high bay, it is available to add reflectors on the body if needed.

You can choose the LED high bay lights’ power according to the installation height. Different power consumption will be working with different heights as follows:

  • 16ft-20ft height: 100W – 120W (10000-14000 lm)
  • 25ft-30ft height: 150W (15000-18000 lm)
  • 40ft-50ft height: 180W – 200W (20000-25000 lm)

There are 2 main different types of LED high bay lights: Round UFO LED High bay and Linear high bay lights for different places as well.

The illuminance of the warehouse belongs to the lighting standard value range of the “general room or place in industrial buildings”, according to industry standards:

  • The standard value of illuminance for large warehouses is “50 Lx on a level of 1 meter”; which is equivalent to about 20 lm on the surface of 1 meter.
  • The standard value of illuminance for the general parts library is “100 Lx on a level of 1 meter”; which is equivalent to about 30 lm on the surface of 1 meter.
  • The standard value of illuminance for the semi-finished product warehouse is “150 Lx on a level of 1 meter”; which means it will be 50 lm on the surface of 1 meter.
