LED batten light is a batten-shaped luminaire; generally, it is a linear type. Some people also call it linear light or LED tri-proof lighting. From the structural point of view, generally, some PCBs are placed in a base, and then a PC material cover is assembled. Usually, they are surface-mounted onto the ceiling; some styles can also be pendant-mounted. They have a wide range of categories, including waterproof batten light and dust-proof LED light batten. Most of the lengths are 2 feet, 4 feet, and 5 feet. The 4-foot LED batten is the most popular in markets.

Generally, it is not dimmable. But it is possible to do dimmable solutions for it, Triac dimmable,0-10V dimmable, and DALI dimmable.

Just switch off all before you change the lights. Then, take down the LED tube lights directly and install the new ones.

Just check where you will install these batten light fixtures before you choose them. You should choose an IP65 LED batten if they will be installed in close moisture environments. Maybe you should choose T5 or T8 LED batten if they will be installed only in a residential house, because their cost is the cheapest among other types of batten lights.

There are mainly the following types of LED batten light:

  • T5/T8 LED Tube batten lights;
  • Slim dust-proof batten light fixtures.

What is more, sometimes, the linear lighting is also called batten lights.

Generally, for a 4ft LED batten, it is 18W or 36W.the lumens is about 1800-2000lm, or 3600-3800lm.

2ft, 3ft, 4ft, 5ft- these lengths are standard. But it is ok to customize other different lengths, such as 1ft, 6ft, or 8ft.
