Q: What is cylinder light?
A: Cylinder light refers to a type of lighting fixture that has a cylindrical shape. There are surface-mounted downlights, pendants, and wall-mounted cylinder lights. They can be made from various materials, such as aluminum, glass, or plastic, and are available in different finishes to match various interior or exterior styles.
Due to their cylindrical shape, they are well-suited for narrow spaces or areas where a more focused and controlled light beam is required.
Q: What downlights can I use outside?
A: LED downlights with IP65 or higher rating can be used outdoors. And you should choose a sealed design downlight with a durable material such as aluminum. Determine whether the downlights will be installed in a covered area, like a porch, or in an open space. This can impact the level of weather exposure and help you choose fixtures accordingly. So IP65 downlights can be used outdoors, but are better installed in a covered area.
